Missionaries

MGA is honoured to partner with several missions throughout the world. Ten percent of our annual budget is designated to Missions, as well as all the undesignated funds from the offerings of the first weekend of each month. Following is a list of the missions we currently support. For more information about our missionaries, please contact our office.

A&D World Missions

(Thailand) - Al & Terry Purvis – Based in Sriracha, Thailand, three decades of apostolic training have advanced church planting ministry, now into nine Asian nations. Our Thailand, Philippines and Pakistan leaders are rapidly expanding their Kingdom borders. The oppressive spirit in China, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Burma is eroding under an onslaught of creative ministries led by our bold and sacrificial teams. As we work together as united nations for a common purpose, we see new countries opening up to this powerful Victory Vision. The next step to your Great Commission destiny begins here.

Canada North Ministries

(Meadow Lake, SK) – Mark & Merle Ramshaw (La Loche, SK), Jonathan & Sherrie Bilec, (Pelican Narrows, SK) – Selvon Raphael.   Mission Statement: “To promote, strengthen, and/or establish Gospel Ministries/Worship Centers in spiritually-receptive Canadian communities north of the 54th parallel..” This mission conducts outreach ministries to northern communities (largely in Saskatchewan). As a result of an amazing revival in 2005, a ministry center is in the process of being established in La Loche, Saskatchewan. Three families currently serve with Canada North at present: Evangelist Mark & Merle Ramshaw & family, Pastor Jon & Sherri Bilec & family, and Pastor Selvon Raphael & family.

The philosophy of Canada North is very simple.  We recognize a desire and a need for biblical faith and fellowship in many of our northern communities.  This mission will encourage the work of God wherever a positive reception to the “move of God” is taking place.

Cuban Pastors

We support 13 pastors in various cities in the nation of Cuba.  Without this support, these pastors would need to spend all of their time to support their families.  There is a great move of the Spirit in this land and a great desire among many spiritually-hungry Cubans for God’s kingdom to increase.

Home of New Life

(Ramallah, Israel) – Munir & Sharon Kakish. The unending wars in the Holy Land have ravished the economy and social order. Those who suffer the most are those who can do the least about it — the children. Economic instability, family strife and other social problems have increased dramatically.

Munir & Sharon direct an orphanage in Ramallah. They care for impoverished Palestinian children that have many different and difficult  backgrounds. They are given food, shelter, clothing, education, and most importantly love and care.  Rev. Kabish is also Pastor of the local churches in Ramallah & Ramle, Israel.

 Missing Piece Ministries

(Aboriginal Peoples of AB/NWT)– John Okemow. John Okemow accepted Christ while a young person through the testimony of a missionary evangelist who came to his reserve in Chip Lake.  As an adult, he served with the RCMP for a period of five years when he felt God’s call to evangelism.  He left the RCMP and has been preaching the gospel to northern communities for the last 10 years.  John is effectively leading many of his people to personal faith in Christ.

Pan American Mission

(Colombia) – Bob & Marilyn Finke. Pan America Mission and its sister organization in Colombia, Mision Panamericana de Colombia, are dedicated to the preaching and teaching of the Word God for the salvation of the Spanish-speaking peoples and various indigenous Indian tribes. Their focus is in planting churches in South American Nations. To date, more than 700 churches have been planted. The nation is changing!

Freedom Outreach

(Denare Beach, SK) — Allan & Kandie Lagore, Dan & Lana Morgan. Teen Challenge is a 12-month, faith-based, residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation program that is part of a network of over 15 Teen Challenge Centres across Canada and more than 1,000 worldwide. The program offers spiritual, academic and vocational training that helps equip individuals to return to society as responsible citizens.

A large number of graduates have experienced complete recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. The key to their success was developing a personal relationship with God and putting into practice all that they had learned while in our program.

Voice of Love: Global Farsi Christian Broadcast

Dr. Seyed Masood. A gospel Radio Ministry to the Farsi of Iran and the Middle East. We have word that 1000+ of the Farsi people are coming to faith in Jesus!

Wycliffe Bible Translators

(Calgary) -Robert & Verna Stutzman. Today about 200 million people do not have the Bible in their own language. Wycliffe’s vision is to see the Bible accessible to all people in the language they understand best. To make this vision a reality, Wycliffe also focuses on community development, literacy development and church partnerships.

More than 2,600 minority language groups still wait for the power of God working through their own language. Wycliffe can’t tackle this huge task alone. We invite like-minded people to participate with us through prayer, service and funding.
